Waiting Gracefully

Help Grace
find her voice

Grace is a little girl who communicates with her eyes. We're raising money for an eye gaze device that will let her speak — in her own way, on her own terms.

My name is Grace.

I have a rare condition called TUBB3. It affects how I move, how I see, and how I communicate. I can't walk or sit on my own, and I don't use words.

But I have a lot to say.

I didn't laugh until I was three. When I finally did, it was worth the wait.

I love music. I love the wind — it took me a while to get used to it, but now I could stay out in it forever. I love being by the sea. I love the water, where I feel free. And I love being in the room when everyone is talking — I want to be part of it, whether things are loud or quiet.

My family celebrate every milestone with me, because for me, each one is huge. A diagnosis doesn't tell you who someone is.

What would change everything for me is an eye gaze device — technology that lets me speak using just my eyes. My family are raising £5,000–£10,000 to make it happen. Will you help?
